Herbs, Plants, and Lunch!
Tuesday, April 29th, Kaneville Branch
Activity Level 1 - Join us at the Kaneville Branch (Gymnasium location) for a delightful hands-on planting experience.  Kate Wiltse, from Wiltse’s Farm, will guide you through the art of crafting the perfect planter for your porch or kitchen window.  Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, Kate is the perfect expert to answer all your planting questions.  As a bonus, you’ll have the chance to win a beautiful handcrafted herb planter and a selection of herb pots in our exciting raffle!  Attendees will also be treated to delicious lunch boxes prepared by The Lincoln Inn. Don’t miss this fun and educational event!  Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the event begins at noon.  Payment is due upon registration.  RSVP by April 25th.  Members: $20 • Guests: $22

 

Let’s Play Jeopardy!
Tuesday, May 6th, Shabbona Branch
Activity Level 1 - Grab a friend and join us for an exciting afternoon of Jeopardy at our Shabbona Branch! Test your knowledge, enjoy some friendly competition, and have a great time with fellow participants. A delicious lunch will be served, so come hungry and ready for fun. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., giving you time to settle in before the game kicks off at noon. RSVP by May 1st. Members and Guests: $14

 

Ladies Night Out!
Saturday, May 17th, HearthStone*
Activity Level 1 - Ladies, it’s time to treat yourself! Our most popular event is back, and we’ve planned an unforgettable evening of pampering, relaxation, and fun just for you.  Explore a mix of your favorite vendors and exciting new ones, with plenty of opportunities to shop to your heart’s content. Sip on delicious drinks, savor tasty appetizers, enjoy a delightful fashion show, and receive the chance to win fabulous door prizes throughout the evening.  Gather your friends and join us for a night filled with laughter, indulgence, and a little something special for everyone!  Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the event starts at 5:00 p.m.  Payment is due upon registration.  RSVP by May 10th.  Members and Guests: $25

 

Trivia Night!
Tuesday, June 17th, Genoa Branch
Activity Level 1 - Gather your friends and put your knowledge to the test in a fun and competitive trivia showdown! Your team will go head-to-head with others to see who reigns supreme in all things trivial.  Each team will have its own table to collaborate and answer questions together—so don’t be shy, jump in and enjoy the challenge! Enjoy delicious desserts, refreshments, and door prizes while you play.  Payment is due upon registration. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. start. Antiques Road Show with Steve Almburg

Activity Level 1 - Do you have a family heirloom or antique that you’ve always wondered about? Is it a hidden gem or just a sentimental keepsake? Join us for a special evening with Steve Almburg from Almburg Auctioneering in Malta as he shares insights into the history and value of your treasured items.  Bring an antique you’d like Steve to evaluate and discover its story! The event begins at 6:00 p.m., and more details will be shared in our next magazine.

Classics Travel Policies

Trip Confirmation Notice

Classics sends out a confirmation reminder notice of payment due date, pickup time and location along with any other information regarding each trip at least two weeks prior to departure date for all trips.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Day Trips

When scheduling day trips, most vendors require full payment when booking the event. We request that full payment for a day trip be made 2 weeks in advance. If you have to cancel a trip and we can fill your space from a waiting list, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the trip after your payment is made, we will reimburse you when possible.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Extended Trips

Cancellation policies on extended trips are outlined by respective tour companies as stated in their trip brochure. Trip Travel Insurance is always a wise investment when going on extended trips.

Activity Levels

The higher the Activity Level number, the more walking involved. All activities are in the HearthStone Center unless otherwise stated.

Activity Level 1: Very little walking, no stairs.
Activity Level 2: A little walking, possible stairs.
Activity Level 3: Walking, getting on and off the coach, and possible stairs.
Activity Level 4: Walking, getting on and off the coach several times and stairs on the trip.
Activity Level 5: Walking distances which might be on non-flat surfaces, getting on and off the coach multiple times, and stairs.
Activity Level 6: All of the above, including multiple flights of stairs and activities requiring a higher level of stamina.
